High School Counselor

About the role

The ideal candidate will collaborate with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community partners to provide guidance, counseling services, academic planning, and post-secondary support in a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students in academic and career planning
• Provide individual and group counseling services
• Collaborate with families, faculty, and community resources to support student success
• Assist with student registration, scheduling, orientation, and transition activities
• Guide students in developing post-secondary education and career plans
• Promote a positive, student-focused school culture

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field
• Valid Alabama certification in School Counseling
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to student achievement and educational excellence
