About The Position
This is a 1.0 FTE continuing contract position for a School Counselor at Scriber Lake High School starting in the 2026-27 school year. Required qualifications include a Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate with a School Counselor endorsement or the ability to obtain one before the position starts. Pay & Benefits
The 2025-26 salary schedule ranges from $83,305 to $148,226. The salary placement is determined by FTE and verified educational level and work experience. Benefits include Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a retirement package for eligible positions. Health insurance eligibility is based on working at least 630 hours per school year, while retirement eligibility is based on working at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year.

Physical Requirements/Demands
The physical demands of this job include navigating various school and classroom environments, assisting students who need physical support or exhibit challenging behaviors, and communicating with others regularly. Tasks may involve frequent manual work using hands or fingers, occasional reaching, bending, or twisting, moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds, and visual tasks requiring close-range work and adjusting focus as necessary.
