This position is part of the MISTAFF collaborative effort involving multiple Michigan education associations.
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated educator to join a Michigan K-12 school community. This role supports alternative certification pathways and contributes to the development of high-quality educational programs for students across the state.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement curriculum aligned with state standards and alternative certification requirements.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff to enhance instructional practices.
- Provide mentorship and support to educators pursuing alternative certification.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating professional development events and workshops.
- Contribute to program evaluation and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate or eligibility for alternative certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in a K-12 setting.
- Strong understanding of Michigan educational standards and assessment practices.
- Experience in mentoring or coaching educators preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
