About the role

The Fieldcrest Community School District seeks qualified individuals for High School Coaching and Sponsor positions for the 2026-27 academic year. The positions include Assistant Volleyball Coach, Freshmen Boys Basketball Coach, and Bass Fishing Coach.

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Implement athletic policies and regulations.
• Train and inform staff, encouraging professional growth.
• Maintain discipline, adjust grievances, and work to increase morale and cooperation.
• Assist in scheduling, transportation, and event preparation.
• Coordinate with maintenance and school employees.
• Provide documentation for physical examinations, parental consent, and eligibility.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring its proper use and care.
• Organize preseason meetings and promote the sport through various means.
• Present information to news media concerning schedules, tournaments, and results.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
• Knowledge of existing system, Heart of IL Conference, state, and league regulations.
• Adequate administrative and organizational skills.
• Ability to serve as a role model for student athletes.

Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
• Knowledge of relevant sports regulations and policies.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
