Education

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, or science education
• Master’s degree or higher

Experience

• Valid state teaching certification in science preferred
• Master’s degree preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of Chemistry and Physics content and laboratory practices
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering student success and lifelong learning

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective lessons aligned with school curriculum standards
• Teach Chemistry and Physics courses utilizing a variety of instructional strategies
• Design and implement laboratory investigations that reinforce scientific concepts and promote inquiry-based learning
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Integrate technology and real-world applications into science instruction
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events
• Collaborate with department members to ensure curriculum alignment and instructional excellence
• Support school initiatives, extracurricular activities, and student engagement opportunities

Pay

$55,076 + starting salary commensurate with experience and credentials
