High School Biology Teacher - Leave Position

About the role

The Biology Teacher will join Tri-Creek School Corporation's high school science department, contributing to a collaborative, student-centered learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Biology courses to high school students.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards.
• Assess and monitor student learning through a variety of strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and contribute to department goals.
• Maintain classroom management that promotes respect, responsibility, and safety.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Qualifications

• Indiana teaching license in Life Science required.
• Consideration will also be given to applicants with a degree and/or experience in Biology or a related field who do not yet hold a teaching license.
• Tri-Creek will provide assistance with obtaining appropriate licensure.
• Strong knowledge of high school science curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Commitment to respecting student and colleague diversity.
• Ability to foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

Classification & Compensation

This is a certificated, full-time position subject to the rules, regulations, and policies of the Tri-Creek School Corporation and the negotiated agreement. Salary is based on credentials and starting teacher pay.
