High School Bible Teacher
Cross Trainers Academy (CTA) is a K4–12th grade Christian academy in Milwaukee serving students and families seeking a strong academic experience in a gospel-centered environment. About the role
We are seeking a Christ-centered High School Bible Teacher to strengthen students’ understanding of doctrinal and theological topics, motivate and lead students to accept God’s gift of salvation, help them grow in their faith, and lead them to a realization of their worth in Christ.
Responsibilities
- Implement curriculum and lesson plans from the Old and New Testaments in alignment with the Bible convictions and values of the Milwaukee Rescue Mission that will foster knowledge and skills essential to spiritual, emotional, and academic development.
- Collaborate in the development and facilitation of weekly high school Chapels and monthly school-wide Chapel.
- Focus on instruction and adolescent development at an age-appropriate level.
- Consistently enforce school-wide core values with an emphasis on academic development and Christ-like characteristics.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure each scholar is making academic and social progress.
- Engage students in the learning process and implement effective classroom management practices.
- Attend and participate in scheduled devotionals, staff in-service, and faculty and parent meetings.
- Maintain a neat and organized classroom environment as well as keep accurate records.
- Fill in when needed for additional roles such as lunch, recess, or dismissal monitors.
- Use technology as needed to fulfill curriculum requirements, including classroom projection systems, online gradebook, and attendance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Theology or biblical studies.
- Previous experience in high school Bible teaching or experience and credentials in high school age youth ministry required.
- Teacher certification preferred, but not initially required (candidates have 3 years to complete this).
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse students and families.
- Competent in the following platforms: PowerSchool, Word, Excel, Outlook, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar.
- Proven skills in leadership, group facilitation, communication, and data collection.
- A workplace demeanor consistent with a Christian school environment: civil, respectful, polite, and responsive.
- Be in agreement with and subscribe to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission Statement of Faith and the MRM Statement of Biblical Convictions.
- Be a committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is evident in personal testimony and Christian conduct.
- Pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in youth ministry.
- Experience in an urban teaching environment.
- Track record of closing the achievement gap, making gains greater than 1 AYP.

Start date: August 3, 2026. Monday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM & Tuesday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.
