About the role
Camden Prep Athletics Coaches foster a lifelong love of movement, teamwork, and resilience. Through high-energy, inclusive programming across multiple sports and fitness activities, our coaches build confident, disciplined student-athletes.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive, cohesive team culture
- Support varsity players and first-time participants
- Educate on character, respect, and accountability
- Obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, NFHS, NJSIAA)
- Communicate effectively and organize efficiently
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level
- Strong foundational knowledge of volleyball techniques, training methods, and game strategy
- Demonstrated commitment to working with high school students, particularly in urban school settings
- Interest in program-building
- Willingly obtain and maintain required certifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- NJSIAA Coaching Requirements (Basic): Complete NJSIAA-mandated safety certifications (Concussion, Heat Illness, CPR, First Aid).
- Uphold and enforce all eligibility standards for student-athletes.
- Complete a criminal background check and fingerprinting as per state law.
- Comply with all NJSIAA coaching requirements within the required timeframe (often within 1 year of hire).

Pay
- Founding Head Coach - Track & Field/Cross Country: Stipend of $2,500
- Assistant Track & Field Coach: Stipend of $1,500
- Head Boys Tennis Coach - Spring: Stipend of $2,500
- Head Boys Volleyball Coach - Spring: Stipend of $2,500
- Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach - Spring: Stipend of $1,500
