High School Assistant Nordic Skiing Coach

Season runs November 2026 through February 2027.

Requirements

• Valid Wyoming Coaching Permit with a Skiing endorsement (obtain via Wyoming PTSB); must be secured before the season begins to receive compensation.
• Current hands-on First Aid and CPR certification (American Heart Association Heartsaver® or equivalent; online courses not accepted).
• Completion certificates for NFHS Concussion and Bullying/Hazing/Inappropriate Behaviors online courses (free; email certificates to hschon@tcsd.org).
• State and district fingerprinting (four cards total—two for PTSB, two for TCSD; fees vary by location and are applicant’s responsibility).
• U.S. and Wyoming Constitution testing or qualifying college coursework (Wyoming community-college or UW graduates who earned a “C” or higher are exempt).

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with all aspects of the high-school Nordic-ski program during the season.

Compensation

Paid only for time coached while properly permitted; unpermitted coaching is volunteer time. If permit is issued mid-season, pay is prorated.
