Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in various art disciplines (e.g., drawing, painting, sculpture, digital media, art history).
- Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
- Absess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum and classroom culture.
- Maintain classroom organization, including care of materials, tools, and studio space.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives.
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Support extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibits, or school events as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of artistic techniques and media.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Must be willing to respect the Catholic Church and follow our code of conduct.
