About the role
Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree certified Elective Teacher to focus on ACT Prep and Psychology.
Responsibilities
- Teach ACT preparation strategies and psychology courses to high school students
- Support students in meeting College & Career Readiness standards and Louisiana State Standards
- Engage in extracurricular activities outside of the regular school day, if interested and able
- Participate in summer training sessions as needed
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working with high school students in a school setting
- Preferred: Special Education (SPED) certification
- Prior knowledge or interest in obtaining certification in multiple areas is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field
- Certified teacher in appropriate subject area
Skills
- Knowledge of ACT preparation strategies
- Ability to meet College & Career Readiness standards and Louisiana State Standards
