Essential Functions
- Inspects, cleans, lubricates, paints, and repairs high-pressure boilers and associated mechanical equipment using safe and efficient processes, adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Conducts regular inspections of the boiler and its components to identify and address any issues.
- Works with and schedules inspectors for annual shutdowns.
- Tests and conducts analyses of water quality and other associated equipment to maintain efficient operations of steam systems.
- Records and maintains accurate logs of boiler operations, including pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption.
- Cleans and maintains the boiler and its components to prevent corrosion and buildup of sediment and scale.
- Responds quickly and effectively to any emergencies or malfunctions that may occur during boiler operation.
Education Requirement
A High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Licensure Requirement
State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License, required.
