About The Role
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems that support launch infrastructure, facilities, and operational equipment.
Perform electrical work for construction projects, facility upgrades, and daily operations in coordination with engineering, technician, and operations teams.
Diagnose electrical issues, identify corrective actions, and complete repairs in accordance with approved procedures and applicable electrical codes.
Implement risk-prevention measures and follow established safety requirements while performing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
Estimate material, equipment, and labor needs and prioritize assigned work to support project schedules and operational requirements.
Perform work in changing conditions, including outdoor environments and non-standard shifts, as required to support operational needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of progressively responsible electrical experience involving increasing technical complexity, independent judgment, or project responsibility.
- Experience working with AC and DC electrical systems in construction, aerospace, facilities, industrial, or a related environment.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E requirements related to electrical installation, maintenance, and workplace safety.
- Experience installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting 277/480V and 120/208V electrical distribution systems.
- Experience performing grounding, bonding, troubleshooting, and preventive or corrective maintenance on electrical distribution systems.
- Experience installing or maintaining electrical equipment such as switchboards, panelboards, transformers, backup power systems, transfer switches, rigid conduit, or associated wiring.
Qualifications
- Nice To Haves But Not Required:
- Experience interpreting construction drawings and technical documents, including plans, one-line diagrams, equipment schematics, and manufacturer instructions.
- State electrician license or equivalent electrical certification.
- Experience installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting medium-voltage electrical systems rated at 1,000 volts or higher.
- Experience installing or maintaining electrical systems in classified locations, such as Class I, Division 2 environments.
Skills
Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
