High Net Worth Tax Managing Director

For our client, we are seeking a High Net Worth Tax Managing Director to join the team of a leader in the Legal & Accounting space. This role will lead sophisticated tax compliance, planning, and consulting services for high-net-worth individuals and their closely held businesses. You will serve as a trusted advisor on complex individual, partnership, trust, estate, and business tax matters while helping clients navigate succession and strategic planning. The position also emphasizes building strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for expanded engagement, and supporting team development through mentoring and technical leadership. Location: Hempstead, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $201,810 – $382,600 annually Responsibilities Lead tax compliance and consulting for high-net-worth clients and their businesses Perform technical reviews of complex tax returns, including individual, partnership, and trust returns Deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting across a range of tax matters Advise on business succession planning for affluent families Build client relationships to support new projects and revenue opportunities Mentor associates and contribute to team development Foster a supportive environment that encourages collaboration and work-life balance Qualifications Undergraduate degree in accounting or law required CPA or JD required 8+ years of tax planning experience serving wealthy individuals and their businesses 4+ years of supervisory experience mentoring associates Strong understanding of personal, trust, and estate tax, with exposure to partnership and corporate taxation Benefits Ownership experience with entrepreneurial partners Professional development opportunities through firm-wide learning programs Supportive work environment focusing on mentorship and team growth Social activities and outings promoting work-life balance Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
