About the role

You are essential to keeping Flanigan’s restaurants sparkling, clean, and bright by ensuring every item is cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards while following all company safety and sanitation policies.

Responsibilities

• Wash and provide clean, sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Clean and sanitize throughout the shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness: sweep, mop, remove debris from floors, etc.
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, and beautification duties
• Prepare and maintain the dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
• Support fellow employees as needed

Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Ability to reach, bend, and stoop
• Frequent immersion of hands in water diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs several times per shift, including to high shelves, coolers, and freezers
• Ability to work in a damp, high‑temperature environment (indoors with minimal outdoor exposure)
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, and pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
