HHP PARTS PULLER 1st Shift

Full-time position on the 1st shift (6AM–2PM, Monday–Friday) in Mitchell, SD.

About the Role

Locate and retrieve parts specified in work order instructions and blueprints and deliver the parts to Assemblers. Use forklifts, pallet jacks, computers, and handheld scanners to locate, retrieve, document, and deliver materials needed for production.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write
• Understanding of detailed blueprints and work instructions
• Basic mathematic skills and ability to use measuring tools
• Current forklift certification and ability to operate a forklift
• Great attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Using work order instructions and blueprints, locate and retrieve needed parts
• Document each part delivered to Assemblers and update inventory records
• Use forklift or pallet jack to retrieve and deliver parts to Assemblers
• Use computer and/or handheld scanner to find specific part locations
• Assist Assemblers with job duties as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Notify Floor Administrator of low or missing inventory
• Develop and maintain knowledge of various parts used in Assembly
• Report any issues to supervisor or appropriate personnel immediately
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and requirements in AKG of America’s environmental management system (EMS)
• Regular physical attendance is essential; refer to AKG attendance policy section 2 of the Information Handbook for Employees

Physical Requirements

• Stand 100% of the time and walk 70% of the time
• Bend, stoop, pull, push, twist, and turn as required
• Lift up to 50 lbs 75% of the time
• Operate a pallet jack and chain hoist
• Operate a forklift and maintain certification
• Wear required PPE: steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection
