About the role

Alvita Care is seeking Home Health Aides (HHA) and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate, one‑on‑one care in the Riverhead/North Fork area and throughout northeastern Suffolk County. Caregivers deliver private‑duty, home‑based or facility‑bedside assistance, including personal care, Alzheimer’s & dementia support, palliative & hospice care, and geriatric care management.

Qualifications

• Certified New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) required
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable, professional, and patient‑centered
• Maintain professionalism in all written and verbal communications
• Have updated medicals/vaccinations or be willing to obtain them
• Prior home care experience strongly preferred
• Drivers preferred
• Completed drug screen or Habituation Form
• Must successfully complete the Alvita Care onboarding process before accepting cases

Schedule

• Shifts are 1:1 private duty, homecare or facility bedside
• Flexible scheduling; shifts range from 6 to 12 hours
• All work is per‑diem
• Available schedules include part‑time, full‑time long‑term, and short‑term/fill‑in hours
