About the role

As a Home Health Aide at Amedisys, you will provide compassionate care to patients in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, medication management, and other health-related tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming
• Help patients with meal preparation and nutrition
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes to the supervising nurse
• Administer medications as prescribed by the supervising nurse
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during home visits

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Pass a drug screen

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Skills

• Basic computer skills
• First aid and CPR certification
