HHA - Home Health Aide

About the role

At BAYADA, a mission‑driven, not‑for‑profit home health care provider, you will join a personal care and companionship team that supports adults in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties with activities of daily living, household support, and companion care. You’ll receive training, flexibility, and the backing of a dedicated team while providing one‑on‑one care that helps clients live safely and independently at home.

Responsibilities

• Follow a written plan of care created by a registered nurse.
• Provide personal care services: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Offer household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
• Help with range of motion/exercises and ambulation (transfers, use of mechanical lifting devices).
• Provide medication reminders.

Qualifications

• Previous home health care or patient care experience is welcomed but not required; training will be provided.
• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others.
• Commitment to being present and delivering quality care.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
