About the role

The Bristal Assisted Living is seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides. In this position you will be a friendly and familiar face to our residents, providing hands‑on care in a respectful and dignified manner. Your role is essential to the care and safety of residents who choose to call The Bristal home, and the loving care you bring is fundamental to their quality of life and overall wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Support residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho‑social well‑being.
• Help out as needed in the Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents.
• Follow all policies and procedures and adhere to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide.
• Experience assisting individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read in English.
• Previous experience with a geriatric population preferred, including assistance with ADLs.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.
• Basic understanding of dementia; patience and professionalism in redirecting residents.
• Ability to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive ways.
• Reliability, caring and gentle touch and demeanor.
• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times.

Schedule

Full‑time schedule includes one weekend shift per week (Tue‑Sat or Sun‑Thu).
