Hemingways Restaurant- Lunch/Dinner Server - Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Server to join our team at Hemingway's Restaurant within the Holiday Inn Oceanside. As a Full-Time position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests, taking and delivering orders, and managing cash transactions.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately take and deliver orders while interacting with guests
• Learn menu items and be able to describe them appropriately to guests
• Check-in with guests to ensure that they have everything they need
• Clean dirty dishes from the table
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits; familiarity with domestic and import beers, different types of wine, and brand name spirits
• Maintain assigned areas by keeping them clean and free of debris
• Work with other servers and be a team player
• Perform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork
• Ensure that tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy and clean
• Demonstrate superior guest service skills by presenting a friendly, relaxed, and professional demeanor

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to communicate effectively in a positive, upbeat fashion
• Possessing interpersonal skills with focused attention to guests needs
• Ability to check transactions accurately and efficiently
• Basic math skills a must
• Previous cash-handling experience, preferred
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
• Flexible availability; able to work weekends and holidays
