About the Role
OptumCare® Cancer Care is seeking a Medical Oncologist to join our multi-specialty group located in Las Vegas, NV, to help shape the future of integrated, value-based cancer care. OptumCare® Cancer Care focuses on individualized treatments, shared decision-making between patients and physicians, and highly coordinated care. We operate a state-of-the-art 55,000 square-foot Cancer Center at the gateway to the Las Vegas Medical District, along with multiple locations across the Las Vegas Valley.
OptumCare® Cancer Care Services offers medical oncology, surgical oncology, imaging, semi-private infusion bays, an angio suite, and breast care. Additional services include palliative care, genetic counseling, and a patient resource library. A new, full-service location will open in Henderson, Nevada, in September 2025.
Position Highlights
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Inpatient consults limited to established patients or those qualifying for our services; shared among the team based on volume and need
- Manageable patient volume
- Call shared among the team, only 1 week at a time
- Epic EMR
- Integrated team-based model including oncology advanced practice clinicians, a breast care team, and a radiation oncology team
Responsibilities
- Provide medical oncology care within an integrated, value-based model
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated cancer care
- Participate in shared inpatient consultations and call rotations
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology
- Unrestricted license to practice in Nevada or ability to obtain prior to employment
- DEA License or ability to obtain prior to employment

Pay
The salary range for this role is $281,500 to $708,000 annually. Salary is defined as total cash compensation at target, with the actual range and pay mix of base and bonus varying based on experience and metric achievement. Pay is determined by factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
