Hematology/Oncology Physician
About the role
A healthcare provider in a multi-state region is seeking a Hematologist-Oncologist to join their hospital team. The position involves working within a nationally accredited cancer center, contributing to Medical and Radiation Oncology services that include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery.
The ideal candidate will manage a caseload consisting of approximately 60% oncology and 40% hematology, with a focus on solid tumors such as breast, lung, colon, and prostate cancers. The role includes an average of 45-50 new patients monthly, supported by two full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care in hematology and oncology, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
- Manage a mixed caseload with a focus on solid tumors (e.g., breast, lung, colon, and prostate cancers).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within a nationally accredited cancer center.
- Work alongside two full-time APPs to support patient care.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and Oncology.
- Both experienced providers and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
