Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for outpatient hematology and oncology coverage in a cancer center affiliated with a hospital system in Providence, Rhode Island. This role offers a collaborative clinical environment with support staff and a flexible outpatient schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care to adult patients, managing 12-20 patient encounters daily with a ramp-up period to 20.
• Conduct consults (45 minutes) and follow-ups (15 minutes), with flexibility based on clinician preference.
• Handle general hematology and oncology cases in an outpatient setting.
• Prescribe medication and maintain hospital privileges.
• Work weekdays during day shifts, with no call required for the APP.

Requirements

• Board certification in Hematology/Oncology.
• Prescriptive authority and hospital privileges.
• Ability to manage a patient load with support staff assistance.
