Hematologist/Oncologist

About the role

Seeking a full-time Hematologist/Oncologist dedicated to providing exceptional care to Veterans within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Consultation, assessment, and treatment for inpatient and outpatient veterans
• Managing acute and chronic conditions
• Ordering and interpreting labs
• Coordinating referrals
• Promoting preventive care
• Patient follow‑up and education
• Staying informed about clinical research and trials
• Administrative duties: serving as acting section chief, supervising providers, students, and residents, participating in committees, ensuring privacy compliance, fostering professional development
• May manage staff leave, hiring, and work schedules as needed

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship (or qualified non‑citizens)
• MD or DO with an unrestricted license
• Completion of an accredited residency in core specialty
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology (ABIM board‑certified or eligible)

Schedule

Four‑day work week, Monday through Friday.
