About the Role

Join a thriving 30-plus physician academic practice with an excellent reputation. This opportunity includes faculty appointment at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and participation in an ACGME-accredited fellowship program with nine fellows. You will engage in conferences and teach medical students, residents, and hematology/oncology fellows while practicing a full range of Hematology/Oncology within a successful group.

The practice is part of Cooper University Health Care, the only academic tertiary-level full-service medical center in Camden, NJ, and serves as an extension of the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper—a network site of the top-ranked University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The main campus in Camden includes subspecialty outpatient care, multidisciplinary clinical teams, and associated services such as surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and allied health professionals. Inpatient care at Cooper University Hospital includes chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, and cellular therapy services. As the only destination transplant and cellular therapy program in Southern New Jersey’s seven counties, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper expands access to advanced therapies for a diverse and historically underserved population, supported by institutional investment and a deeply engaged multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Practice a full range of Hematology/Oncology within a thriving academic group.
• Participate in conferences and teach medical students, residents, and hematology/oncology fellows.
• Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to the academic mission of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care, including chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, and cellular therapy services.

Requirements

• Hold an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent).
• Eligible for appointment at the Professor level at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
• Demonstrate a record of progressive leadership, scholarly accomplishment, and national recognition within academic hematologic malignancies and/or cellular therapy.
• Board-certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey.
