Qualification Highlights

Must have 2 plus years of experience working on an industrial construction project in the warehouse or equivalent material handler position
Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions (see below)
Must be able to meet all physical requirements
Must have reliable transportation

Position Responsibilities

• Aid or direction to another stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
• Maintain inventory control by continuous tracking and inventory updates
• Notify appropriate department when ordered item has arrived or deliver to appropriate department
• Receive and count stock items and turn in packaging slip to materials clerk with the accurate material count
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas
• Unpacked goods and store in appropriate location until issue
• Use identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to mark all goods
• Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment

Required Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience working for an industrial construction project in the warehouse or equivalent material handler position
• Must be organized and can complete an accurate count of items received
• Must have good communication skills, including the ability to read and write effectively
• Must be familiar with basic computer operations
• Must be able to follow directions
• Must be able to use tools such as hammers and drills to open crated materials received or to pack materials that are scheduled to be shipped

Preferred Additional Qualification

Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
Previous experience in this position with Zachry Industrial, Inc.

This position does not have any direct reports.

Physical Requirements

• Employees will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting
• Talk and hear to communicate
• Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls and tools
• Pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
• Work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat , safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots
