Helper - Plumbing

About the Role

As a Helper - Plumbing at a Modigent operating company, you will support experienced plumbers and field teams on commercial plumbing projects. This entry-level role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to start a career in the trades. You will assist with material handling, site preparation, basic installation tasks, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while learning the fundamentals of commercial plumbing systems under close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform general job site clean-up and organization to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Assist plumbers with the layout, assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Carry tools, materials, and equipment to support the team on job sites.
• Help with basic tasks such as digging, trenching, and material handling as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Actively learn plumbing techniques, safety practices, and industry standards to advance within the trade.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of construction or labor experience preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently bend, lift, stand, and walk on uneven terrain or in confined spaces, and safely climb ladders.
• Ability to work on active construction sites with exposure to varying weather conditions. This is a safety-sensitive position.

• Basic tool knowledge (must have personal hand tools required for the role).
