About the role
This position is responsible for performing all tasks involved in the meat preparation and grinding process of taco production for Tyson Foods, Inc.
Responsibilities
- Perform operational setup of equipment; adjust equipment and document
- Be responsible for operation of all equipment/documentation needed for operation
- Maintain a clean work area
- Communicate with co-workers and management
- Make all necessary adjustments
- Observe all safety rules and take an active role in the promotion of safety
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work as part of a team
- Wear safety equipment and follow GMPs and Safety Policies
- Perform work as assigned by the department supervisor
- Follow standard work methods
- Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible
Pay
Starts at $17.55 per hour, with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift.
Schedule
This facility operates seven days a week and produces Bacon Toppings and Tacos. 2nd Shift.
Physical requirements
- Must be willing and able to lift and carry 80 pounds or more (including bags of spices, TVP, salt, and boxed meat for preparation of the meat mixture according to company specifications)
- Regularly required to stand, stoop, bend, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, and squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull and move about the facility
- Work in hot, cold, and wet environments
