Helper Electrician - Madison, TN

Key Responsibilities

• Aid lead electricians with installing control panels, field controllers, sensors, actuators, conduit, and wiring for Building Automation Systems
• Help with low voltage wiring and terminations, including CAT5, CAT5e, and CAT6
• Aid with lighting control installations and energy management system projects
• Help troubleshoot electrical, low voltage, and control system issues under the direction of a lead electrician

Requirements

• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and standard electrical equipment safely
• Document completed work using company provided systems and devices
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, NEC requirements, and local regulations

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the electrical field
• Experience with commercial electrical work preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring, lighting controls, and low voltage systems
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with a lead electrician or project team
• Comfortable using an iPad, phone, or computer for work documentation
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Must be drug free
