Responsibilities

• Remove and stack wet laps of fiber material from the wet machine roll while following Standard Operating Procedures to meet quality and production standards.
• Remove formed wet laps (of any dimensions, within required specifications) from the Wet Machine making roll without damage.
• Stack wet laps (interleafing with press cloths when required) in a straight, square, and undamaged manner.
• Recognize and pull defects for re-use, reporting such defects to the Machine Tender.
• Assist in all phases of set-ups, wash-ups, and minor maintenance to prevent unnecessary downtime and ensure top-quality, clean start-ups.
• Work with a partner as a team to properly remove laps from the roll.
• Operate all equipment and carry out all procedures in a safe and controlled manner.
• Maintain general housekeeping of the Wet Machine area.
• Perform various other duties as assigned based on allowable time and requirements.
• Adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules.
• Work extended hours when required.

Requirements

• Experience in papermaking or manufacturing preferred.
• Able to work rotating shifts.

Pay

$19.83 to $24.01 per hour.
