About the Role

Assist electricians and electrical technicians in various tasks related to electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. Work under the supervision of experienced electrical professionals to ensure the smooth execution of electrical projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians and electrical technicians in performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
• Handle transportation, organization, and storage of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
• Set up and assemble electrical equipment, fixtures, and components such as lighting fixtures, switchboards, and control panels.
• Assist in running, securing, routing, fastening, and labeling electrical wiring and cables.
• Aid in the installation of electrical devices, outlets, switches, and other components.
• Adhere to safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain and care for electrical tools and equipment, reporting any damage or malfunction.
• Participate in cleanup and organization of the work area after completing tasks.
• Assist in documenting work progress, material usage, and any issues encountered.
• Learn from experienced electricians and seek guidance to expand knowledge of electrical systems.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and work under the guidance of experienced electricians.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of safety practices and adherence to safety protocols.
• Willingness to acquire knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperatures.
• Must be able to sit in a chair at a computer for more than 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to stand and walk continuously through shift.
• Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including respirators, when required.
• May be exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferous working conditions.
• Regular attendance is required.

Schedule

Position requires extended hours, which will vary depending on job and site requirements. May need to work weekends if business needs require.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience and paid weekly.
