Helper

Assists drivers in completing customer routes with a focus on exceptional customer service and adherence to all health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Loads and empties residential and/or commercial containers into truck manually or mechanically.
• Maneuvers containers staged curbside, dockside, carryout, or requiring pullout to complete service.
• Operates hoisting device to lift and empty bins or containers into truck hopper.
• Places serviced bins back in their original upright position with covers replaced.
• Assists driver with all backing maneuvers while on route.
• Loads trash and recycling into a rear load truck in fluctuating weather conditions.
• Lifts 50 pounds constantly throughout the day while maintaining stamina for physically demanding duties.
• Maintains a safe working environment at all times.
• Communicates professionally with customers and employees.
• Participates in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of company products, services, and core values.
• Performs other duties as needed to support company vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs constantly throughout the day.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship management and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Successful completion of pre-employment testing, including a drug screen.

Pay

$17–$18/hour.
