About the role
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Burton, Michigan on a short‑term contract assignment starting next week. This fully onsite role supports day‑to‑day technical needs for internal users, handling common desktop and access issues with a responsive, service‑oriented approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide front‑line technical assistance for end users experiencing workstation, login, printing, and network connectivity issues.
- Resolve support requests through remote troubleshooting or onsite assistance at user locations as needed.
- Manage and update service desk tickets to ensure issues are documented, prioritized, and closed in a timely manner.
- Support user account access and password‑related requests within Active Directory.
- Diagnose desktop and laptop problems in Microsoft Windows 10 environments and apply effective solutions.
- Escalate more complex incidents when necessary while maintaining clear communication with users and internal stakeholders.
- Install, configure, and support standard desktop hardware and software used across the organization.
Requirements
- Experience providing help desk or desktop support in an IT environment.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory for user account support and password administration.
- Hands‑on experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and general Microsoft Windows systems.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting for desktop, printer, login, and internet connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with service desk ticketing processes and issue tracking best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support users in a clear and effective manner.
Schedule
Availability to work onsite five days per week in Michigan.
