Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst

We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide hands‑on technical support for end users in a manufacturing environment. This contract position focuses on resolving day‑to‑day hardware, software, and access issues while ensuring employees can work efficiently with minimal disruption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver front‑line technical assistance for desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues reported by employees across the site.
• Diagnose and resolve Microsoft Windows 10 and general Windows operating system problems in a timely manner.
• Manage user account access, password resets, and directory‑related support tasks within Active Directory.
• Track, update, and close service desk tickets while maintaining clear notes and status communication.
• Perform routine troubleshooting for software, hardware, printer, and connectivity concerns to restore user productivity.
• Escalate more complex incidents when needed and coordinate with internal support teams to drive resolution.
• Set up, configure, and support end‑user workstations and related equipment for new or existing staff.
• Maintain a high‑quality support experience by communicating technical solutions in a clear and user‑friendly manner.

Requirements

• Experience providing help desk or desktop support in a business environment.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory for user account administration and access support.
• Hands‑on experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and other Microsoft Windows platforms.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting across hardware, software, and user access issues.
• Familiarity with service desk ticketing practices, including documentation and issue tracking.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support users with varying technical skill levels.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage workload effectively in a fast‑paced setting.
