Help Desk Analyst I
nLogic is seeking a Help Desk Analyst I to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing (HPC) Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) and U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
About the role
The successful candidate will serve as a Tier 1 Help Desk technician for HPC engineering and operations, providing timely and accurate response to HPC user questions and trouble tickets using the HPC Help Desk ticketing system. The role involves fielding user inquiries via phone, email, and directly in the HPC Help Desk ticketing system while supporting the 24/7 User Support team.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 Help Desk support for HPC engineering and operations.
- Respond to HPC user questions and trouble tickets using the HPC Help Desk ticketing system.
- Field user inquiries via phone, email, and the ticketing system.
- Support the 24/7 User Support team.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must currently possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- High School Diploma and 4 years of work experience or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in various HPC systems and technologies:
- Cray/Cray EX, IBM, SGI, Penguin, or custom architectures
- Linux variants OS
- InfiniBand (IB), Intel Omni-Path interconnects
- Portable Batch Systems (PBS), Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management (SLURM), or IBM Platform Load Sharing Facility (LSF) schedulers
- Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, or ARM CPUs
- Nvidia graphic processing units (GPUs)
- ITIL Foundation certification.
Work Conditions
- Work Model: Onsite (Dayton, OH).
- Travel: Minimal.
- Work Hours: Primarily first shift (0700 - 1500 EST) with flexibility to support weekends, holidays, and alternate schedules as required to meet mission needs.
