Responsibilities
- Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally.
- Verify aircraft airworthiness before every flight.
- Perform a complete walk-around of the aircraft before and after flights.
- Ensure thorough knowledge of all aircraft and medical systems.
- Complete required documentation and conduct detailed flight planning.
- Participate in meetings, activities, projects, and community outreach.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Requirements
- Regular scheduled attendance (14/14 schedule - 12 hour shifts).
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with 2-5 years’ related experience or a bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must have flown in category within the past 24 months.
- Maintain a weight not exceeding 250 pounds and be under 70 years old.
Skills
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
- Must have completed the IFR Program: 2500 total flight hours, including 2000 in category, 1000 PIC, 500 rotor wing turbine, 500 cross-country, and 50 hours in actual instrument conditions.
- Must hold an ATP rating in category, fixed wing multiengine rating for twin-engine aircraft, and commercial single-engine land license.
- Must have a First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate.
Pay and Benefits
The pay scale is based on flight and EMS experience, ranging from USD $82,900.00/Yr. to USD $93,251.00/Yr.
