About the role
Join Biffa as an HGV Technician Apprentice and start your journey in the automotive and engineering industry. You'll work alongside experienced technicians, helping to maintain and repair our fleet of waste collection vehicles while gaining valuable skills and qualifications through a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 3 Apprenticeship. This is a 3-year programme based in LN5 8LL.
Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair HGVs and LGVs
- Diagnose and fix vehicle faults
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections
- Work with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Follow health and safety best practices in a professional workshop environment
Requirements
- Good communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Problem-solving skills
- A valid Cat B driving licence
