For more information visit OWLServices.com and follow us on LinkedIn . The Role We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and executing petroleum system maintenance projects that fall outside of standard service and new construction scopes. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can independently manage field work, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards without direct supervision. Sign-On Bonus – $5,000 $2,500 paid upon the employee's start date. $2,500 paid after the employee successfully completes six months of employment. Relocation Assistance – Up to $5,000 Key Responsibilities: Lead and perform heavy maintenance work on petroleum fueling systems at commercial and retail sitesExecute repairs and replacements including, but not limited to:Spill bucket repair and replacementSTP (Submersible Turbine Pump) repair and replacementContainment sump repairs and upgradesDrop tube replacementsUnderground and aboveground piping repairsDiagnose system issues and develop effective field solutions with minimal guidanceMobilize, manage, and complete jobs independently or with small crewsEnsure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocolsCoordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as neededMaintain accurate documentation including daily reports, photos, and material trackingIdentify additional repair needs and communicate potential change orders or scope gapsUphold jobsite safety standards, including proper PPE use and hazard recognition Qualifications: Minimum [5] years of hands-on experience in petroleum service, maintenance, or constructionStrong working knowledge of fuel systems, including tanks, piping, and dispensing equipmentProven ability to perform heavy maintenance tasks independently from start to finishDemonstrated leadership experience in the field (lead technician or foreman level)Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematicsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to travel as required Preferred Qualifications: Certifications related to petroleum equipment or environmental complianceExperience with testing, inspections, and regulatory requirementsOSHA safety training (10/30-hour) What We’re Looking For: This is not an entry-level or helper position.
