Heavy Line Technician, Lincoln Ford

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engine concerns.
• Perform engine replacements, rebuilds, and major mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair transmission, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, fuel, and emissions systems.
• Utilize factory diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify additional maintenance or repair needs.
• Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently.
• Perform quality control inspections and road tests to verify repairs.
• Maintain productivity and efficiency standards while ensuring quality workmanship.
• Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs.

Essential Requirements

• A professional with the ability to read and comprehend instructions, repair orders, manuals, and safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and inspection reports.
• Ability to complete repair documentation accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to meet production goals.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Education / Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of automotive dealership technician experience preferred.
• Heavy line, engine, transmission, or drivability repair experience required.
• Ford and/or Lincoln experience preferred but not required.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate diagnostic scan tools and shop equipment.
• ASE Certifications preferred.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented attitude.
