Qualifications
- Interest in pursuing a career in heavy civil construction
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow direction from supervisors and experienced team members
- Commitment to working safely and following OSHA, company, and site-specific safety requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, etc.)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Basic communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and stay engaged in assigned tasks
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed to support project schedules
- Dependable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to safely use or learn to use hand tools and power tools
- Must be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying site conditions (including trenches)
- Valid Driver’s License may be required (depending on role)
- Must be at least 18 years old
Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying materials
- Frequent interaction with heavy equipment, moving machinery, traffic, and construction hazards
- Strict adherence to safety protocols
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all job sites
Base Salary Range
Base salary range is $24-$45/hour, which varies depending on many factors, including relevant experience, skills, and knowledge.
