What You’ll Do as a Heavy Equipment Technician
- Diagnose and repair Caterpillar diesel-powered construction equipment
- Use Cat ET and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot systems and components
- Perform preventative maintenance, part installations, and rebuilds
- Service hydraulic, electrical, transmission, fuel, and undercarriage systems
- Operate independently in the shop or in the field using a company-provided service truck
- Collaborate with mentors and team members for complex diagnostics
Requirements
- Mustown proper tools to perform necessary repairs
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Deep understanding of hydraulics, transmissions, fuel systems, and undercarriage components
- Experience using diagnostic systems such as Cat ET
- Prior military or heavy construction mechanic experience (Caterpillar or similar brands)
- Ability to work independently in shop or field settings

- Technician levels and compensation are based on experience, certifications, and technical expertise
