About the role

At EquipmentShare, we’re hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in Atlanta, GA. We’re looking for a driven individual to join our team and help build the future of construction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders
  • Track machine service intervals
  • Order parts
  • Diagnose issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models
  • Work safely and independently to repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
  • Aid in the training of lower-level technicians
  • Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
  • Stay updated on OSHA requirements (preferred)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

  • This is a safety-sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen
