About the role
At EquipmentShare, we're hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in Rapid City, SD. This role is part of a dynamic team committed to transforming an industry stuck in the past with innovative technology, real-time support, and a caring team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create, assign, and monitor work orders
- Track machine service intervals
- Order parts
- Diagnose issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models
- Determine root cause and corrective actions quickly
- Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
- Aid in training lower-level technicians
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
- Stay updated on OSHA requirements (preferred)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
- Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills

Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for overtime pay after 40 hours worked. On-call scheduling may apply with additional compensation provided.
Pay
