Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic)

At EquipmentShare, we’re hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in S Las Vegas, NV. This role is part of a dynamic team committed to transforming the construction industry through innovation and care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders
• Track machine service intervals
• Order parts
• Diagnose issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models
• Determine root cause and corrective actions quickly
• Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
• Assist in training lower-level technicians
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Stay updated on OSHA requirements (preferred)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication skills

Pay

$20 - $25 per hour, plus overtime after 40 hours per week

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for on-call scheduling

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times
