Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic)

At EquipmentShare, we're hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in Shreveport, LA. This role is part of a dynamic team committed to transforming the construction industry through innovation and care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders
• Track machine service intervals
• Order parts
• Diagnose issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models
• Determine root cause and corrective actions for equipment issues
• Train lower-level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
• Aid in the pickup and delivery of equipment and parts
• Stay updated on OSHA requirements (preferred)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for overtime pay after 40 hours.

Pay

This role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation provided.
