Heavy Equipment Road/Field Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on rental construction equipment
- Travel to job sites for on-site maintenance, service and repairs
- Deliver exceptional customer service through positive, solution-focused interactions
- Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Use diagnostic software, gauges, and specialized tools to identify equipment issues
- Test-run equipment to verify repairs and ensure operational safety
- Train and mentor technicians
- Complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance records accurately and on time
- Support shop and customer workflow and assist other technicians as needed
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience as a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic, rental, construction or fleet mechanic
- A high school diploma, trade school certificate, or equivalent experience
- Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- A valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles safely
- A personal set of professional-grade mechanic’s tools
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment

- $34.00 - $38.00/hour based on experience
