Heavy Equipment Operators

We're seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. If you have experience operating machinery and a passion for working on impactful projects, we offer opportunities to learn additional skills and advance through on-the-job training and external education.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
• Ensure company equipment and materials are maintained, kept clean, and stored safely
• Check filters and grease equipment
• Observe the distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for workers to add material
• Keep work area and equipment clean by collecting and disposing of scrap and excess materials
• Proactively communicate with foreman, superintendent, and coworkers
• Follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and the environment

Requirements

• Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment
• Must be reliable and have reliable transportation
• 2-4 years of operating experience preferred
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment

Work Environment

• Field-based role on heavy civil and highway construction sites
• Loud noise levels, near moving mechanical parts, and outdoor conditions including inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt exposure

Physical Demands

• Lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods
• Perform physical labor under adverse field conditions
• Lift, push, pull, or carry objects using abdominal and lower back muscles
• Good manual dexterity and multilimbed coordination required
• Excellent stamina required

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Occasional long hours and weekend work may be required.
