UIC Arctic Operations & Development is seeking a Project Manager to lead our Arctic exploration projects.

About the role

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects in challenging Arctic environments. This role requires strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of Arctic operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans that meet budget, scope, and timeline requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
• Oversee procurement processes and manage vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and environmental protocols
• Manage risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience in Arctic environments
• Experience with Arctic-specific equipment and operations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
• Experience with project tracking software
• Understanding of Arctic weather patterns and their impact on project timelines

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
