Heavy Equipment Operator On-Call Snow

About the role

Hanscom Field (BED) is the premier general aviation airport in the Greater Boston area, providing safe, reliable services for private and corporate aircraft while strategically supporting Boston Logan International Airport. Committed to safety, reliability, and environmental stewardship, we foster community harmony through initiatives like the Fly Friendly noise abatement program. This is a temporary on-call position for the 2026–2027 winter season, with availability required whenever weather dictates, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plow, shovel, scrape, sand, and maintain the walkways, roadways, runways, and taxiways at Hanscom Field in Bedford, MA.
• Operate large and small specialized snow removal vehicles on airport property.

Requirements

• Current and valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A or B) recommended.
• Snow removal experience preferred.

Schedule

• All shifts available, including holidays, overnights, and weekends, as needed based on weather conditions.
